McLean County AIDS Task Force

Crucial service from our volunteers, 25 years and counting

September 2011

A tremendous amount of work and energy keeps an organization like McLean County AIDS Task Force functioning. Countless numbers of people have helped to keep us going for the past 25 years.

I have found that one of the most basic reason for people not getting involved with community service projects is the amount of time and work they anticipate will be required. Yes, a few do end up doing a mountain of work. That's not required. With enough people giving just a bit of their time, the work load is greatly reduced.

The task force is currently looking for three people to fill our board of directors positions. But these are not the only possible ways to help.

A special need now is for volunteer participation in grant writing. This is something that until recently I thought was an incredible amount of work. However, the process can easily be divided into smaller tasks and accomplished by a team.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with all of our functions including fundraising and client service projects. Please give me a call or email to talk about how you can help a very important cause.
