Text Box: PART-TIME: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / PEMS DATA ENTRY CLERK—NEEDED IMMEDIATELY!
This person, under supervision of the MCATF grant coordinator, will perform advanced and responsible administrative support tasks that are complex and varied; carry out established program and service activities; and perform other duties as required.  Hours (4-8 hours weekly) are somewhat flexible, but some evening and weekend hours may be necessary.  The position is open now and needs to be filled as soon as possible, and will last through the end of 2005.  Training provided for grant-specific activities.  Job will involve typing, using office equipment, basic math, some writing, preparing and interpreting reports, filing, record keeping, data entry into the new CDC-designed Program Evaluation Management System (PEMS) and the ability to take supervision as well as work independently. PART-TIME LATINO HIV PREVENTION OUTREACH WORKER (2) (McLean County)
The McLean County AIDS Task Force has received a grant for 1 or 2 people to serve, part-time, as our first Latino HIV Prevention Outreach Worker.   Although we are still completing a formalized job description & work plan, this outreach worker will be responsible for:  developing ties between the Bloomington-Normal area Latino community leaders, health care agencies, migrant workers, the McLean County AIDS Task Force and the Latino communities in McLean & Livingston counties.  Candidates should have excellent communication skills, be able to talk to be people of all socio-economic backgrounds (including: homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, injecting drug users, persons who have multiple sex partners, persons of various race and country of origin, as well as those who may speak English as a second language or not at all), must speak fluent Spanish; Minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.  Schedule:  we’re very flexible; you may work some evenings or weekends.  Remuneration: This is a 1 year contract and a stipend amount will be decided upon hiring (not enough to support you, but a good 2nd job)

PART-TIME: PUBLIC OPINION LEADER (POL) COORDINATOR
This person, under the supervision of Information Services Committee Chair, is responsible for all facets of the Public Opinion Leader (POL) HIV Prevention Program.  POL is a community-level prevention intervention that helps create a social environment in which gay men feel comfortable making the decisions to avoid high-risk sex.  Coordinator will be responsible for mobilizing key individuals (the ‘in crowd’) to change the ‘social norms’ of the group.  POLs you identify are members of the gay community that others consider a credible source of information (someone they might look up to or try to emulate).  Trained POLs will talk to other gay men in local bars, at after hour hangouts, house parties, etc. and share their stories on making sex safer! PART-TIME: INTERNET RISK REDUCTION COORDINATOR
New epidemiological data, combined with anecdotal evidence and research, show that men who have sex with men (MSM) are increasingly using Internet chat rooms to schedule "real time" sexual encounters.  According to researchers and prevention counselors, the online venues for meeting sexual partners work nearly as fast as meeting at a bar or bathhouse.  MCATF and other HIV prevention organizations are already developing programs that target MSM looking for sex via the Internet, and  some have found efficient ways to reach high-risk populations and provide interventions prior to MSM engaging in risky behavior.  The Internet Risk Reduction Coordinator will take these new programs, expand and modify their, so Volunteer Internet Risk Reduction Counselors can help to spread the word of Risk Reduction!  Some work can be completed at home, but the position will require training, monitoring, and providing technical assistance to these Internet Risk Reduction Counselors.  Candidate should have excellent computer skills, knowledge of HIV/AIDS (we provide training), ability to direct and supervise internet risk reduction activities.  Some traveling to IDPH-mandated trainings will be required (mileage / travel allowance).  Candidate should be proficient in typing; knowledge GLBTQ-related issues; knowledge of HIV/AIDS especially helpful; knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet Chat Rooms a plus, but not required.

OPEN DOOR YOUTH CENTER—COORDINATOR
The Open Door Youth Center Coordinator reports directly to the E Central IL Gay Youth Project Officer.  Their roles & responsibilities of the ODYC Coordinator include coordinating youth center activities at the Connections Community Center, scheduling facilitators for weekly youth meetings, when others cannot volunteer, the coordinator must be the facilitator for Text Box: Red Ribbon Review
