Tuesday night during the Board of Directors meeting, it was decided by the board to accept David Remesch’s application for Grant Manager. This was a difficult decision to make as he will be replacing Ed Bruner, the current Grant Manager. Ed, had decided to notify the board of his pending resignation during the January meeting. Due to time constraints for training and David already having a good working relationship with the agency, the board went ahead and accepted his application.
Ed has been the Grant Manager and Project Coordinator for the past couple of years and will be missed. He has given his best for the agency and we appreciate his time and effort toward the cause. The board would like to thank him for all he has done and will be doing in this transitional period. Ed is leaving to tend to his health more actively. His decision was a difficult one for all involved and he will be missed.
David, although this is his first term on the Board, has taken an active role and we are looking forward to the work he will do. The leadership qualities he has demonstrated show a vision of strength and fairness. He has shown the ability to work with others in an efficient and caring way. He brings the experience of owning his own business and knowing how to handle problems as they arise and deal with them before they get out of control.
Ed, it is hard to say so long, but we wish you well. David, we welcome you and support you in this venture. This is a large role you are undertaking and we know you will do your best and succeed.
